DS Wiper Arm Clicking

About 1 week ago, my driver side wiper arm has started this clicking. The wiper blade it self inst in bad shape (replaced with in 12 months) and it performs as it should, i just have this clicking that occurs at the very start of the wiper arm motion and the peak or end of the wiper arm motion and so on. so if i turned on the wipers, it clicks, sweeps as it should, clicks at the top, and then return. In other words clicks on intial movement , and clicks at the peak.

What gives?

The arm from the motor to the wiper pivot may have worn bearings. You would have to pull the cowling off to check this. Or maybe try turning off the ignition switch with the wiper blade in mid wipe and see if you can wiggle it and detect any play.

alight great news ! the PS blade itself had slid out of position and wasn't locked in they way it should, so when the arms started to move or stop it caused the arm to click because it didnt have the proper contact, once i fixed the blade insert, everything was smooth as butter.

Thanks!

It is a good day when a problem gets solved at no cost. If only it would happen to me.
