Good day to all i have 2002 3.5 GE Auto Tranny when i first put in drive it wont go no where but after putting it in D2 Or 1 it takes off n drive then i puts it back in main gear but wont go over 20-25 mph no matter what gear also my rpm won't go over 2000 , any suggestions oh and service engine light soon is on , thanks in advance

If the SES light is on that means the computer is storing a fault code. Have the code read and we'll start from there.

The car is running in what is referred to as "limp" mode because of some problem. This is a designed safety thing. Get the codes read as suggested and go from there.
TPS is bad or bad wire. Check the harness at and near the connector. If it looks fine, then grab a TB from the junkyard.
