P0720 code

2000 maxima was having shifting problems and I got it diagnosed to the revolution sensor. I replaced the sensor and my son has had no shifting issues. Prior to replacing the sensor it happened about every other day. The check engine light has no gone off as I assumed it would have cleared after driving it for 100+ miles. I had him take it to autozone and it still has the same fault code. Any suggestions?

So, is you only problem that the CEL light has not gone off?
If so, disconnect the battery overnight, or use an ODBC code reader to turn the light off.

Yes. The transmission shifts great just CEL won’t go off. I will try the battery disconnection. Thank you.
