Caliper sticking?

Hey guys, not sure why I got smoke and loud squeal coming from the driver front. I replaced the pads and rotors in December, and there is a grand total of about 5 (YES, five) miles on this car since I did it. I compressed the piston, slightly loosened the bleeder screw, so a teeny bit of fluid released and the caliper still went back in relatively easily. When I reinstalled the caliper, i noticed that it didn't wiggle from side to side. The guide pins were both liberally lubricated and new boots installed on those, so they are moving back and forth easily. Is the caliper done for, or is there something I cometely overlooked?

If the piston and pins are free then the next thing to check is the rubber hose.
