02 Max Very Faint noise

Hello all 02 Max 177K runs like new! I hear a very faint noise almost like a whine or very low howl sound! I only hear this noise if the car is in the garage never outside.. I know that sounds strange but i am guessing the walls in the garage make you hear things better! I attached a picture of where the noise is coming from ( I used an Automotive Stethoscope) And that is where i hear the sound!! Its not a chain slap or rattle by no means The engine is dead quiet at idle but i do notice that new sound at idle in the picture area! Thanks so much...

There's 3 chains spinning around in there on 2 sprockets and 4 gears.

That thing looks clean! I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Wow! Very nice! Do you spend all your free time detailing your car? Must be a dream to work on.

Just gutted cats on another at 95K and front precat was disintegrating as usual.

So you're saying I have a good 100k on my brand new cats before I have anything to worry about?

Depends on how cheap they are lol. Wouldn't know, though. Headers or gut, there's no place for cats.

Maybe they finally grew some ***** and confronted the suppliers. Even the RWD platform's cats fell apart on the DE. Dunno about HR.

Front came from Canada (ebay) and rear came from Walker. Every nut and bolt is new and easy to remove. I'll check in 70k

OP's car is so clean I would heed your advice to a more serious degree, though.
