2001 Maxima - Power steering hose replacement

I need to replace this power steering suction hose due to leaking. Mine was oil/grime on the outside of it. I wiped it down clean as best as I could and I am monitoring. I do see fluid down on the A-arm area below.

https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/part...717-2y900.html

It looks like just a hose with clamps, but in some of the posts I have read on this forum, it appears you need to take apart more pieces (banjo fitting, new crush washers, etc). Looks like jack up the car, remove the front passenger wheel to get access, and have at it. Have plenty of rags on hand.

Difficulty level here?

Wow, went looking for a better price than the a**-reaming price of ~$100 for this PS hose. No luck.

What's wrong with this OEM hose?

The hose is two clamps. I don't think you'll even have to remove the wheel. Difficulty: pain in the a$$/10.

Because mine is a 2001 Maxima with the 3.0L not the 3.5L.

It doesn't matter. It'll work. It's all the same. My 5th gen hose is connected to a 7th gen pump.

It's listed for 2000 maxima...so there ya go. It'll fit. It shouldn't matter as long as it's 95-03. Unsure where 6th gen reservoir is.
