No fuel pressure 2000 maxima trouble shooting

once upon a time this car was great

never any problems with it starting running

until one day the idle slowly dropped and died at a stop sign , but then started up fine and worked fine for a week

i let the car sit for a month or two some fogging oil squirts later I tried to start and it wouldn’t

(1)first repair was coil packs and spark plugs
new gapped and torqued nothing not a spuder when key turn

(2)next was was fuel pump , filter and houseing (one big piece) And gas tank cover gasket

and really took my time , broke nothing and made sure all connections were secure and clean I even took the time to make that annoying star washer on the filter pressed on good i also pumped out and cleaned the gas tank
sealed back up and same no start results
next i was onto

(3)fuel injectors all new and I bought a new fuel pressure regulator
as well as new o rings

wile I was under there(intake assembly) I changed the valve cover gasket as well as upper intake and throttle body gaskets
sealed her up plugged everything back in , same no start results
so at this point upon assembly I put everything back perfect

*** i spray starting fluid in the throttle body give a few cranks and whoosh she was alive And RAN for about 3 seconds ***

so now i have just tested the fuel pressure and there is none , zero and it bothers me because I’ve replaced almost everything fuel related and to a T

So now I’m at a loss and I’m ready to sell it any advice or places to look over please and thanks to all the smart guys and possibly gals on here

I would conduct an expement.

Connect a jumper wire from the positive battery terminal abd the positive terminal of the fuel pump. Then also negative to negative
This should make the fuel pump run and provide fuel pressure.

Then attempt to start the car.

The car will run well if the normal fuel pump circuit has issues or if the anti theft system has been triggered.

I will give this a try ! the fuel pump works it’s new and buzzing too , when I disconnected the fuel lines gas pours out so It works I think there has to be a pressure leak

Pressure leaks would be a bad fuel pressure regulator or one or more leaking fuel injectors.

does your car spew while smoke which smells like gas when it runs?

I usually hang out on the 4th Gen ection.

lots of leaking fuel injectors there. I belive that the 2000 5th gen has most of the same parts, and the same issues.

have you conducted a fuel system presure test yet.

Another 4th Gen test is to remove each spark plug after a starting attrmpt.. a leaking injector will make the spark plug smell gassure than the others. It will also look a bit different.

do a seach about leaking fuel injectiors in the 4th Gen section. Much of that might seem all to familsr.

You youngsters give up so freaking easy!
Have you checked for voltage at you fuel pump yet or even checked your fuel pump fuse yet? If your fuse is good then check your fuel pump relay test it or swap it with a similar type that you know works! If you can’t figure it out after that run a long wire too the fuel and positive side and a ground and try to start it. Test the harness/wire between the relay and the pump for continuity! It’s something simple!

CMax.....

I agree of course.

I was recommending the simplest test of all.

which bypassed all of what you mentioned.

Your list of things to check comes next of course.
Once he finds that his hot wired fuel pump will proves that the car can be brought back to life.

I'm thinking that the cause is some corrosion on the fuse. It might look intsct. Start by replacing the fuse.

Update

I need to identify the positive and ground , I can’t find a color code any where and don’t want to strip every wire so I’m waiting for some back probes in the mail , I can try and hot wire it if the third and last wire are confirmed pos and neg

Looks like the wire on the right has a problem.
That might be related to your issue.

Is the red led in with the clock on when you are trying to start the car? If so, you are having problems with the NATS lockout system. NATS will disable the fuel injectors to keep the engine from starting, but if you spray starting fluid into the intake, the engine will start for a few seconds.
