Any tricks to getting the bank 1 (front) pre cat to drop out? Got all 8 bolts out and it is loose. Won't drop down because of the flange that inserts from the rear and won't move back and forth because of the two studs on the top side. Don't want to have to take the entire exhaust to the rear loose and don't want to pry too much to separate them. Thanks.

 

loosen the bolts holding that manifold On, they can be studded to, but some come out bolt and stud, that may give you enough room to lift it up and twist it out. providing the cooling fans are out of the way,

 

You're almost there, drop the Y pipe.

 

Rust.. IF your not equipped to drill out holes, its much easier to loosen the manifold. Not my choice either, but it has worked in cases where the bolts are just gone on the y pipe.
