Bought a 2003 maxima last year, and it has developed several issues back to back that I am thinking could potentially be caused by a lack of voltage
Error code p0021 (Variable valve timing issue bank2)
Error code b1134 (airbag issue)

Every morning when for the first few minutes of driving after I start the car both the Battery and Break lights on the dash panel blink repeatedly, got me thinking it could be an alternator issue (already replaced the battery)
That said I've sat idle with all lights/radio/air conditioner on to try and observe power fluctuations (dimming lights and such) but it seemed to have no issues.

I've also had the moon roof open randomly when I am doing other things, and it refuses to close without me doing the reset procedure, forgot exactly what triggered it, but I think I was playing with the climate control or radio, or even the wiper speed control.

Brake and Battery light generally means your alternator is going out. Do a load test at idle with and without all the accessories on (ac, defroster, etc) and see what the voltage really is.

The passenger side airbags were recalled for replacement many years ago. Check w/ a nearby dealer, maybe yours has yet to be replaced.

I had a 98 Maxima that did that before the alternator finally went. I checked the ground, cleaned it and re tightened it. It was good for about a month and a half before the alternator went all together. GOOD LUCK and hope this helps.
