If you go to auto search tempest you will not even find one 5.5 with a manual transmission. If you own these cars you realize the value but the market for them is difficult to assess since there is a lack of units up for sale.
It's a 19 year old 4 door sedan and while there is a following for them here on the site, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are in demand. The guy will be lucky to get $3k for the car. Maybe $3.5k if someone desperately wants a FWD Japanese sedan that has a manual gearbox.
TallTom,
I agree. The key word is demand. There are no manuals on sale on autosearch tempest and last year someone had a very clean example posted for 5k but who knows how much he actually got for the car. Even though I love driving a manual the truth is that manufacturers are pushing more and more automation in their offerings. This is actually good for a buyer in this case and bad for a seller.

Ehh, I wouldn't use autotempest as a gauge. There are only 20 automatics listed for 02 and 03 nationwide.

Cars and trucks one of those things you buy and the value depreciates so much.
You could buy a used maxima thats10 years old for under $10,000
if your handy, and can keep up with the repairs, you can drive a nice car for a fraction of the price

I have been looking for the last year to see what pops up.
Very few manuals. And when they do pop up,they are worn and torn with yellow headlights, torn seats, and 180k+ miles.
People still ask 2800-4000 for them.
