Neutral Safety Switch

Does anyone have any instructions on replacing a neutral safety switch in a 5th gen maxima?

Chock wheels
Remove the link bolt to the lever
just take out the 3 rusted screws
And don't peel the head off the screw on the top
and maneuver it out

If your car is not shifting properly it could be the link bushing under the console
I recently replaced a link bushing on this 5th gen and I guess the old one crumbled

Just finished installing the neutral switch. The youtube provided is different than what I experienced today. You will have to forgive me because some parts I do not know the name of. You should remove the fender panels and some of the underneath plastic on the drivers side of the car. It will make life easier. Remove the battery and the battery tray. It is similar to the video where the fuse box will need to have the screws removed. The air intake on the left of the battery needs to be loosened. There is a white container (not liquid) just under the battery and loosening the air intake will allow you to push the white container up and out of the way. There are two screws that hold the container you reach from underneath the car. The neutral safety switch is now in front you and the plug is on top of the switch...again, this made life so much easier. Good luck to those who are attempting this repair!
