I called Nissan and asked about a bodykit for 2K2, and they said it is not available. They did tell me that it is available for 2001 and 2000. They told me that they don't know if it will be available for 2K2. Does anyone know if it will be available from Nissan. Will Nismo offer it when it comes to US.

 

I bought my AE kit from my local Nissan dealer. Nissan showed me the "Accessory Bulletin" on the kit and it said the kit fits all 2001 and some 2000 model year Maximas. Sorry, no mention of the 2002 model year.

Why would it only fit some 2000 Maximas? There's no difference with the bumpers...

if they make a kit for more maxima's it won't be the "AE" kit anymore. (2001 was the annerv. year)

They will need a new name for it, and a new kit.

 

The 2K2 already comes with the side spoilers ...I think the only possible body kit would be something extreme and aftermarket.

 

The front bumper on the 2K isn't different from the 2K1. They are exactly the same cars, with minor differences like the steering wheel controls and stuff like that, but no cosmetic differences. I have the AE kit and a 2K max.

 

I'm just quoting what the bulletin said. I thought that "some 2000" was kind of strange too.

I got it from the parts department of my local Nissan dealer( King's Nissan ). The kit comes pre-painted in your factory color of choice. Just be sure to haggle on the price. You should not pay more than $1000 for the kit. The kit includes the front spoiler, rear spoiler, side sills, all mounting hardware, double-sided tape, and detailed instructions. You can also try Dave B here on the org or www.tustinnissan.com. There are also painted splash guards that go with this kit and are sold separately.

 

I'm sure Stillen will have a 2K2 kit out sometime in the future.

Nissan will not likely make an Anniversary Edition kit for the 21st Anniversary Maxima...kind of an odd year, don't ya' think?
