Maybe someone can help.. Here's my problem , While installing a new radio I broke the end of the cold/hot selector.
It's manual and no matter which way I slide it heat comes through , the door doesn't move.
I'm guessing the electrical loop was broke and stops it from working. Checked all fuses 3 or 3 times and find a reasonable
priced Temp. control to purchase.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a 2000 maxima gle.

 

Pull a unit from a yard. That would be cheapest. After that, eBay. After that, roll the windows down and drive faster. After that, junk the car, you've already put more into it than it's worth.

 

That's about exactly how I had it figured. I'm going with the junk yard plan.
just haven't found one close by yet..

 

A good source is car-part.com. Find what you need, call up the yard, ask if they'll ship.

Give more detail what you busted. I can't imagine knocking off the slider button caused a failure.

 

Well it did. It snapped off right where it goes into the unit. There is a wire or strip or something that broke too.
It's like the Actuator door is about half way open , can feel heat and ac coming thru..

 

The broken ribbon is your problem.
