VQ30DEK Turbo/Supercharge?

01 FWD Maxima, cannot seem to find a kit anywhere. It’s a VQ30DEK
Besides the 3,700$ Supercharger kit

forced induction is always gonna cost you an arm and a leg. even though these cars are getting up in age modifying them is never going to be cheap. my motorcycle is my toy but I'll be throwing in a 7th gen motor soon since it justifies the money I will save constantly adding oil to my 297,XXX mile 2002 6 speed SE

Short answer, there are no complete kits to buy. Want to make big power?? Convert your car to 02+ wiring (or start with a 3.5 car) and get a newer 3.5l and have it professionally tuned. 300+ whp easy.

You are 15 years late really. There never was much support for these cars, let alone the two year only DEK, which is now 20 years old.

There were some turbo "kits" like PFI and Stillen had a supercharger kit for a shortwhile then discontinued. Later, supercharger brackets were made and the basics are still offered by Matty, but you must find or make the rest of the parts. Kits can be found used if you know where to look.

The big problem is your ECU and tuning. The FMU is a joke but works for low boost. Newer ECUs can be tuned. Otherwise you'll need a stand alone.

No matter what path you choose, it will be a can of worms.

Youve all convinced me to go the route of rebuilding my engine or replacing pieces to ensure reliability and maybe make a kit in the future. I think i’ll just save for a CRX and add a catback to my maxima and keep it at that for now and work on the engines reliability and a lil performance, small steps no force inductions. If y’all got any suggesting in things the i should replace that ware fast or a little performance gain lemme know please it would be super helpful !

Another option is you can buy U.S. legal RWD VQ30DET Gloria/Cedrics now from JDM importers thanks to the 25 year rule.
