I have had a couple of the lcds out on my odometer for a while. I recently had a local shop replace the rear main seal on my car, and when I got it back about half of the lcds are now out. I have looked into sending the cluster off to be repaired but was wondering if there might be an electrical connection or something else causing the problem. It's only on the odometer side. The temp, miles to empty, mpg, etc. still works completely. Anyone had any similar problems?

Ok, so Monday I snatched the instrument cluster out and sent it off for repairs. I have been driving the car to and from work since Wednesday. This morning while I was almost to work the throttle quit responding. The car was still running, but no acceleration. Made it to work and did my 10 hours. Cranked her up and eased out of the parking lot thinking I could turn on the hazards and slowly make the 4 mile trip home. NOPE!. I got about a mile up the road and she quit and wouldn't start back up. Luckily I have good friend co-workers and we towed her to the house. It seems that without the cluster installed the alternator doesn't charge since now the battery is dead. My luck. Well, cluster should hopefully be back first of the week and I can get this resolved...hopefully.
