6 Speed Swap question/help

We are in the process of making 6 speed swap on a 2003 I 35. We had a donor 2003 maxima.

Unfortunately, the donor has left for the boneyard and has been crushed.

The question we have is where to locate transmission mount. I know I can install the manual trans and mock it up and then remove it again to determine the proper location. I’d like to avoid that.

Could someone provide us with a dimension to properly locate the mount?

We would prefer to get these dimensions for a 2002 or 2003 Maxima that came from the factory with the 6 Speed manual.

I believe if I can get the dimension(s) from the battery tray to the edge of the mount (1) and from the battery tray to the centerline of the first bolt (2)------it would be very helpful and appreciated. See photo below.

Thanks!!

Battery tray on the right----edge of mount at about 1-1/2 inches???

Battery tray on the bottom of pic.

the center of the bolt seems to be exactly 2" from the battery tray on mine. best bet is to wait until you have all the other mounts bolted in before you start drilling. I'm surprised the mounting points on the chassis are different.

did you get one with LSD? I pulled my tranny out to install a spec V H-LSD along with a JWT flywheel and 350Z clutch. I picked up a donor tranny for $300 at a salvage yard. I cleaned up all the markings from the donor tranny and returned it as a core lol ..

Thanks for the info! Great idea on the “exchange”. We’re using a std 6 Speed and clutch with JWT flywheel . ☹️.
