Will a re4f04b fit into a 2001 maxima?

I have a 01 maxima with 273,000 miles and the transmission finally gave in. Reverse just stays still even when on a hill. When in neutral and revved the whole car moves and 1st and 2nd don’t work. When driving you can feel that it’s only in 3rd and it will shift into 4th. The trans fluid is still red and doesn’t smell burnt. Anyways I’ve found 2 or 3 good used transmissions out of a 02 or 03 maximas which is the re4f04b and my car is equipped with a re4f04a. I want to know if I’m going to run into anything while attempting to change them out. I’m not aware of the differences, I just know it can’t be one with a limited slip. I’ve looked for a forum talking about this but had no luck. Should I try to put a re4f04b in my car or is it a waste of time?

I put a trans from an 00-01 into an 02 and it worked. The only difference I noticed was an extra revolution sensor on the 02-03 trans.

so I got the transmission out of a 02 the guy was doing a 6 speed swap and he gave it to me with the harness. Should I use the harness on this transmission or the one on the car currently. What did you do about that extra sensor? Did you just leave it alone and it shifted fine?
