I recently swapped the dash in my 01 Maxima for a different color dash from an 02. Since then, the airbag light has been flashing. I've reset the light (I think) with diagnostic mode per the youtube video, but it appears that there actually is a problem with the system. Other than reseating the connector, is there anything else I should check? The connector for the airbag is the same, but did it possibly change between 01 and 02? Worst case I still have the old airbag but it would be the wrong color

Test with the old airbag.

I've had my passenger airbag out of my dash for two years. I just live with the light. I've never plugged it back in to notice whether or not the light went away. I could give it a shot and test it if you want.

The light is pretty annoying though . I'll give the old airbag a shot and see what happens.

So I did reinstall the original airbag and the light stayed on, even after doing the reset procedure. Now I'm really lost. The wiring doesn't look damaged in any way though...
