Hello,
I'm working on an 01 Maxima and I need to reset the blinking air bag light. The FAQ's here:

are for 02+, for some reason it would appear by that that the 00-01's have a different procedure.

Does anybody know the procedure for an 00-01?

Timing is absolutely critical. I had to break out a stop watch to get it down.

yea, timing is definitely key... i had to try the procedure over many times, but it did eventually work on my 01. i think when i did it i used the airbag light to count the number of seconds.

I just test drove a car two days ago that had the air bag light on... Is this the norm? Should I expect this on my recently purchase 01...
