Is it worth replacing knock sensor?

I have 2001 Nissan Maxima GLE 3.0 V6. I need to replace the intake manifold gaskets, and sins I have to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds, and knock sensor is right under the manifold, should I replace the knock sensor as preventive maintenance or just leave it alone. Thanks

Because it's a lot more difficult to replace when the intake manifold is in the way.

i hear yea, im just saying i haven't heard of anyone having to replace it before, and haven't heard of people having issues with them. and "just because" isn't all that great of a reason.
the code for the knock sensor comes up %99 when other codes pop up, and it is considered a "piggy back" code, and each time i have had the knock sensor code, it has gone away when i resolved the other pending codes hence being a "piggy back" false positive code.

Wonder if you can bypass it with a 470k ohm resistor like the 4th gens. I would if you use 91 or 93 octane fuel.

Yes you can bypass it with same method, but for me I use 560k ohm resistor and 91 octane fuel....
Sadly the engine pinging like crazy whenever I hit the throttle more than 15%....

im confused, if the manual says 91 octane recommended, why would u need to bypass the knock sensor if you are using suggested octane?
i use 93 as well with advanced timing 2 degrees
