I just installed the Fastbrakes rear brake kit on my 02 SE. between all the parts, machining and the Fastbrakes bracket that I purchased individually, it all came out to $437.07. Fastbrakes bracket was engraved with 240SX-REAR-12.3" but fit perfect with proper shimming
I'll post up receipt pics. on op top of that, i paid $85 for machine shop to bore the rotor center out and sandblast my 94 caliper brackets for painting. I also ordered a wheel hub for the machine shop to size up the center hub to the rotors....
I don't think the machine shop tested the fit of the rotor on the hub when they machined them. I had to open up the inner part of the bore hole so the rotor would seat properly to the hub.
94 pads are different along with the hardware which will all be used.
green arrow is pointing to the washer that was supplied and the red arrow is the 1 of 4 thicker washers that were supplied..
the parking brake cables will have to be unbolted from the trail arm and bolted back on once the parking brake cable is attached back to the caliper...

hows it feel? do you think it helped with the bias of the front upgrade only (6th gen bbk). IIRC the theory was that there is a small con of upgrading only fronts and not doing the backs threw the braking proportions out of scale
How come you had to use the 94 maxima pads and caliper bracket?
It's a tiny bit smaller than 95-01(03 really) Maxima bracket. Its also found on G20s, 90s Altima, and 00 Sentra which have smaller rotors. Fastbrakes may have searched for the closest bits and pieces and this is what works.

Because this is what FB says on the site. But when I installed this kit a decade ago on my car they didn't say anything about this, and I've been running stock 4th gen caliper brackets and pads without issue. I happened to notice this the other day and asked FB about the change, and the response I got was that he "might have gotten confused".....

from other posts that I saw, the 3rd gen caliper brackets bring the caliper and pad closer to the center of the rotor for a perfect pad and caliper alignment with the rotor.
I'm guessing a good amount of research was done cause it all fit perfect, even the parking brake cables.
it also comes in handy that you can buy caliper brackets separate. years ago when I did the 6th gen brake upgrade I had to hunt eBay for used 6th gen calipers that had brackets.
Rockauto is my go to for parts. I constantly have parts coming in for all the side work I do.
