My 2000 Maxima daily driver is down. Transmission completely shelled itself out on way to work. Think bearing dropped and collapsed all the rest of gears. I need a new tranny but can't seem to find a 5 speed MT anywhere. Any input or help or direction would be amazing. Thanks
. Ps. Will any Altima or Sentra 5speed trannys work???

 

With all of them having input shaft bearing problems, I don't think you're gonna find a good one unless it's from a member. Ask on the facebook groups if anyone has one in good condition.
Or swap in 6 speed. That's easier to source.

 

Car-part.com and see if the place will warranty. Don't forget to search 95-01 and also i30s.

 

What all would I need for a swap to 6spd??
