I have a 2001 Maxima gxe that I j just put new CV axles in but can't get them to lock in and click into place any suggestions on how to get them locked in

 

only the driver side will click into place, the passenger side slides into place and is bolted on at the center bearing bracket.

I usually put the nut onto the axle end and bang it into place with a mallet. I also recommend taking the clip from the old axle and put it onto the new one. back when I had my crx I had issue with axle popping out so i made it a habbit to use the old factory clip..
