It happened again!

HI everyone!

My 2002 Max 121,500 mile CEL light came on again from a 15 mile trip home this AM. I scanned with The OBD after I got home. (Thankfully). I pulled the dreaded P0011 code.

Had this issue occur for the first time back in early Feb. 2024. First thing I did was replace the oil and installed a new VTC selonoid on bank 1 at the same time. Cleared code only to have it reoccur a few miles later.

I decided to replace Both Cam position sensors. Ok for a day or 2. Light came back on. I put a new Crank pos sensor back on 2/21/24. Cleared code. Problem solved. Car has been running like a "charm" since then. What puzzles me is that the car runs perfect, steady 700 rpm, no stumbling or stalling. Starts right up. What else should I be looking-checking for?

Any advice would be appreciated.

What brand sensors did you put in for all three?

Please tell me it was HItachi. If you used anything else, swap all three out for Hitachi.

Yes, all three, CPS 0005, 0006 Cams. 0008 Crank. Even the VTC was Hitachi.
