Surging bucking at idle and low rpms

Hi I have a 2000 maxima gle got it secondhand a couple weeks ago with 114k miles on it
I was told that it just needed 2 sensors
Codes were p0138 and 2 for p0180 one had a pd on it otherwise same code now is only wanting the p0180 codes I'm sure after I drive it the other one will pop up idk
my question is I removed the maf Grey wire and the other sensor that has a Grey wire and it started up and idled great should I drive it to see if that is it and can you drive it like that and what could cause that besides the sensors thanks

Hi and welcome to the Maxima.org forums!

With the age of the car, I would start by cleaning up all engine grounds and battery terminals than make sure that the battery and the charging system works as it should. Once you confirm that the grounds are clean and the charging system works well, reset the ECU codes and see what come back up after driving the car for a while.

Don't throw parts at it yet, use the .org search feature to see how others have solved a similar issue.

Here's a link to download the Nissan Factory Service Manuals that have very detailed troubleshooting procedures for various trouble codes, 2000 Nissan Maxima Factory Service Manual (my4dsc.com)

i also unplugged a massive sound system at the blade fuse do you think that has anything to do with it because since then same day i replaced maf sensor is when it started driving and idling badly. Thanks for the advice I will check the grounds.

if you replaced with a cheap maf sensor that may be it, sensors on these cars are very particular, go with top shelf sensors like OEM or Hitachi
