Gut Cats or go with headers?
Gut Cats or go with headers?
Picked up a 2000 5spd with 187k. Car is clean but I’m going thru it with a fine tooth comb. I got a check engine code for the catalyst etc I want to put headers or the 4th gen manifolds and a good ypipe mounted with a 3” catback.
last time I checked online I couldn't find a set of headers. 4th gen Fed spec exhaust manifolds and Warpspeed Y is probably your best bet.
as for the throw out bearing the transmission isn't hard to pull. hopefully it's not the input shaft bearing.
might as well put a new clutch in there while your at it. just remember to use GL4 gear oil not GL4/GL5.
