i saw a two-tone color max(i think a 1997), it was black with a gold trim on the bottom half of the car. i talked to the guy who owned it and he said that he bought it right off of the lot like that in dec 1996. did nissan make max's with that two-tone paint, or is that guy messing with me?

Nope No 2 Tonez.. Not from factory. Now the dealer may have had it done but not from Nissan that way. Local dealer here Sells Cars with After market rims on brand new cars, but thats the dealer, not Nissan.

When i was buying my max they had a grey to sterling mist color at the dealer
they wanted 900 bucks extra for it..
I told them where they could stick the 900 dollars

thats what i thought

it looked kinda ghetto, it was polished gold, very shiny, but he also had gold door handle(outside), and gold bagding. do maximas have the gold badging and gold door handles from the factory, or is that something the dealer does also?

I was looking at Infinity G20's here, and the dealer had one they were trying to sell that looked pretty sweet. They wanted an extra $2500 for it, though. Aftermarket Chrome wheels and a carbon fiber dash kit were the only extras I saw on it.

I bought my Max instead. Wise decision, I think.

Yeah, needs a better engine. The 3rd gen engine would be nice, just to have the torque and smoothness.
