03 GLE Max is coming along

Today was a good day!

GLE MAX got fresh Penzoil 5W-30 oil, OEM oil filter, Nissan Matic D trans fluid, new front rotors and pads, clear corners all around & installed a budget double DIN radio.

Windows tints and suspension/wheels are next!

nice work. is that the Scosche kit?

I got lucky a few years ago and picked up the stock double din radio panel for $50. it comes off a lot easier without breaking the vents. it has a small gap at the bottom but I don't mind'.

Thanks! It’s the cheap Metra bezel from Amazon, but it fits great and it matches the dashboard well.

The center vents were never removed on this car, and I’ve struggled for good 20 min before it finally came out.

Nice looking double din!

I looked back at an old post and I had the Metra kit for the first 2 stereos I ran in my Maxima. the GXE double din vent was installed with the current radio I posted above. I also have a tiny 400 watt 4 channel Pioneer amp installed behind my head unit for the door speakers. it's a media player that doesn't use discs so the stereo is half the size when it comes to depth. I have all pioneer stuff, head unit, door speakers, 2 amps and sub in the trunk.

did you change your door speakers?

Lookin' good! Coming along nicely. Assuming the paint is still good underneath, any consideration in ditching the sunroof deflector? It really dates the car IMO.

Thanks!!!

I mentioned it to my daughter and she said that she likes it the way it is now, but she is also open to taking it off in the near future. She keeps talking about those $4K Fortune Auto coilovers that she found online

New AC cabin filters, then swapped the taillights and she got a 2 stage paint correction followed by ceramic spray on wax.

Your cars are so nice. What's up with the window spoiler? Do they serve any function?

Thanks! The 03 GLE is the cleanest, most untouched Maxima I’ve even owned!

The back window spoiler is a family Maxima tradition, starting with my son’s 00 SE, than his I35, my 01 SE and now daughter’s 03 GLE.

Give her some TLC and she’ll be back!

My son’s I35 looked rough when we bought her, but with little creativity and some

hard work, she transformed into a very nice ride.

NICE I35, can't go wrong with a nice set of OEM wheels.
