03 Maxima with 150K. Last week got a P0507 (Idle Speed Higher Than Expected) code with high idle (950 RPM) in Park and Drive.

Replaced the throttle body with a brand new Hitachi unit, but the car was still idling high and throwing the P0507 code immediately after performing idle learning procedure.

The following day, the brake and battery light illuminated on the dash and the battery was showing 15.3V across the terminals with engine running.

Replaced the alternator and I’m happy to report







all is back to normal, Maxima idles where it should 650-700 RPM’s in Park and getting healthy 14.3V across the battery terminals.
