Selling my 2003 Maxima SE

New to the ORG,

First post, but have been gaining valuable advice here for over three years. I just bought my son a new (used) car and now need to (reluctantly) sell his old 2003 Maxima SE 3.5L. He was gifted it by his grandma (my MIL) at ~80K miles and its now at ~100K miles. Over the past 1-2 years we have replaced many parts based on age (ie battery, starter, solenoid, radiator, drive belt, lower control arms, front struts, front sway bar links, front brake rotors and pads, four new tires, both camshaft position sensors, alignment, new synthetic oil change, new stereo head unit with Apple CarPlay, new door speakers, new interior LED lights and dash lights, new door speakers and rear back-up camera).

It was running great for two straight years, until it wasn't. Just three weeks ago (after replacing the second camshaft position sensor after getting CEL code P0011), it started running super rough and ticking loudly, with low power output (I have cold start video). I scoured this site for insight, but I am very busy without time for heavy research.

I would love to sell this car to a loving Maxima owner or aspiring Maxima lover looking for a potential project car (or parts). The new tires alone were $800, so I would love to get a reasonable price for this car. I can send pics or video to any interested buyer and be transparent on anything I can answer. Make me an offer - I am motivated, yet sad, to part ways. (Bob in Medina, OH area)

Try posting it on the 5th Gen Nissan Maxima Facebook group, with over 11K members I’m pretty sure that someone local will make you an offer.

Hi Nick,

Thank You for the suggestion above! I immediately tried to join the 5th Gen Nissan Maxima Facebook group last week on 11/25, but I am still waiting on someone (Admin?) to reply to my request. Are you able to assist in this approval process...?

Thank You in advance!

Bob

Yes, I messaged him and asked him to approve your request, he's a very good group admin. What fb name are you using so I can ask Eddy to double check.

Thank You Nick!

Unfortunately, I do not have my own FB account so I am using my wife's account: Franceska Abramczyk

Have a great day ahead!
