How do the Pilot Sport A/S perform in deep snow?

Hello,
Scared myself silly going through the first snowstorm in Toronto with stock Potenzas (6spd 2K2). What is your experience with the Pilot Sport A/S in deep snow? How do they compare to dedicated snow tires (say Michelin arctic)? Any Torontonians going through the recent snowstorm with the Pilots? I'm going to buy tires this week and will appreciate your input.

Thanks.

Igal.

I've never had dedicated snow tires on my max, but on other cars I have...and my new Sport A/S come pretty close. We've had a mild winter here in MN, but we did get 3" snow soon after the tires went on and I was pulling away from SUV's at stoplights. I have yet to see what they can do in 6+", but unless you've got cleats or chains on your tires, not much will give you more traction than A/S. What kicks a$$ is that these tires are W rated and are "ultra-high performance" which I can attest to with my 65 mph clover leaf runs. I don't know if money can buy a much better all around tire. They're worth the $800, and you don't have to jack around with a second set of rims/tires. Somewhere on the forum "MichaelAE" has written a beautiful poem on the A/S's.
