I totaled my 95 se maxima and test drove twice the 2001 SE's. While I liked the interior improvements, the noise the engine makes during acceleration left me not desiring this car at all. It sounded like it was really straining under the load it was trying to pull. My 95 was much quiter.

Comments? I know this car is a good value, but convince me that I should not go a buy another car!

 

What car?... there is no other car for the money that matches the Max as far as performance....

If you want quiet.... get a lexus... or TL... or BMW if you got the $$$$$$... if not.... The Max is the Only one...

 

My Maxima is so quiet that I don't hear the engine and frequently fail to shift as quickly as I should. My BMW wasn't nearly as quiet...

 

hey MI2KSE how do you like the looks of the painted brakes with the car color you have? i have the exact color like u... the grey lustre with frost inside... i was wondering how it looks... got any pics of the car? also wanted to know what you think is nicer for hte interior aluminum or carbon trimming? lemme know thanks
