Indiglo Door Sill

Anyone have instructions on how to install these cleanly yet? Know one seems to know how to install them even guys who have them installed? How do you install them without seeing the wiring? How to wire into your door/light etc?

I had cefiro indiglo kickplates on my 99 maxima and will give some instruction...the eassiest way to do all of this is run 2 20 gauge wires from each door light to the door sill. The reason for this is the polarity is different in between the door and body and the button which tells the car if the door is open or closed is harder access. The way I did it was take the light out, which comes out easily on the door, strip the 2 wires and then run the 2 20 gauge wires inside the door, There should be about 2 screws on the bottom of the door panel, and you can then pull the door panel off enough to pull the wires through. So at this point you should have 2 wires going inside the door from the door light which comes up to the wiring in between the doors. You can simply tape the wiring around and then run it along the dash to the door sills and you are almost then. Usually they give you 3m adhesive activator which is like water and use it on the strips on the bottom of the sills. Just be sure to put enough pressure on the sills and evenly so they mount well and dont come off. You should now be done to showoff your door sills to friends. Any other questions you can e-mail me or pm me.

Try emailing this gentleman, who helped me with my install
kpazzo6@aol.com, just tell him what you need, instructions came with pics and everything.

Indiglo Door Sill Proper Installation

Let me tell you all somethin. I looked into that guys install instruction with the pics and all and doing it his way is major ghetto.

A Caveat: This is NOT really a flame. More props to him for getting it done 'the fast way' but if you want a more professional look thats not the way to do it.

That method merely tucks the wires under side plastic panel. (You have to see the pics and description to really understand what I mean). This will inevitably show wire that must be guided through the panel. Anyway, this method tells you to run the wire to the fuse box. I saw an earlier post whose having a hard time trying to get it all to work out that way something about the lights only working when the car is turned on, not just when open.

About the post about three posts above. That method doesnt seem to take care any unsightly wires that the post above me actually makes note about.

Yes, you will see the wire from the door panel crossing to the body of the car by the speaker end of the door. Also, there is no indication of how to hide the wire once it gets across to the body side of the car.

And, neither of these instructions advise on what to do for the PASSENGER SIDE. pulling wire across from there to the fuse box is hardly practical.

So after all this what answers can I provide? Just that I have the door sills in hand and have figured out THE CLEANEST, MOST DEFINITIVE, PROFESSIONAL AND RELIABLE method of installing these bad boys. It uses coat hangers, electrical tape, and ingenuity but trust me, everyone's going to want to do it this way..the right way.

There have been no real pictures of installed side sills yet. I mean up close and showing the points of entry and exit of any wires to the indiglo. I guarantee none of them is a very clean job.

Peace.

Dr.Omed.HID#4.

Maybe my method for how to will one day become as famous as Dixit and Ice's 2K2 HID Install!!! I can only hope.

Ok please post up your method of install when done. If you can take pictures along the way that is always cool! When done take some pics of them at night too so we can see them in action. I'm interested to see how it goes?

Passenger side is the same as drivers side, no reason to complicate things by goign to a fuse box or anything, like I said running 2 wires from the door light is more then enough. The only time you will see the 2 wires is when they go from the door in between the body of the car, where you simpyl run the wires down the side of the dash and then to the door panels. I will take pics I guess of the install with no kickplates jsut as a general idea, and like I said I think thats the bst way cause you hide the wires inside the door, and inside the dash...just my 2 cents
