1) What is the treadwear rating on the tires you have?
2) Is your car properly aligned? ie.. is the tread just wearing from one part of the tires?

well I have the Michelin Pilot Sport tires 225/40/18 and the UTQG ratings are 220 A A A.
the alignment seems ok, but they're not just wearing in one spot, its like they're just going baldand loseing traction. probably just *H*Ty expensive tires right.

Well treadwear ratings are not always accurate but 220 doesn't seem THAT low. But how many miles you have on the tires again?? If they are wearing evenly then I agree, it's just nature of high performance tires.

I have 16,000 miles on them.
oh well, I'm just getting depressed thinking about spending another $900 on tires.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'm getting it checked on tuesday, the steering was kinda starting to twitch, so I'm kinda killing two birds with one stone.
