Anybody Drag their Max on Slicks?
Anybody Drag their Max on Slicks?
It might be a little extreme, but does anybody use DOT-spec drag slicks on the front of their Max? I would imagine if they can help a stock Civic pull a second better in the quarter-mile, it would DEFINITELY help a Max.
And yes...I FULLY understand that they tear up the cars' innards...I'm just curious to hear what people have to say...

well, which are you talking about?
1) DOT approved slicks are normally drag-radials (grooves to pass DOT inspection) --lots of people use these.
2) Traditional slicks (soft sidewall, plenty of sticky), *NOT* DOT approved for street use.-- not too many use these.
I have been using the Nitto 555r drag radials (classes I've been running in require DOT tires), I can't hook up for $hit. I lost traction 3 times in several runs last week in San Antonio.
