FSTB or RSB?

If you guys had money for only one, would you buy FSTB or RSB, and why? Also, what is the BEST brand and quality brands for the FSTB and RSB?

They both work about the same... The Stillen one is more $$$, but seems to have less installation "issues". I guess if you are only going to get one of them, probably the FSTB. It supposedly is more noticeable under "normal" driving conditions than the RSB.

Both!!!!

If you were gonna buy the Stillen FSTB or RSB, for the price of either you can get the ADDCO Rsb and Courtesy FSTB and there is no dilemma. I have both of them and my car is tight as a v.....'s, well you get the point:biggrin:

I agree to BOTH. I unfortunately only bought the FSTB first and I have been wanting the RSB ever since the moment I first installed the FSTB. If you have the cash get both.

Lemme ask another question if you guys don't mind.

RSB or Springs? A lot of people say stiffer/lowering springs has a better effect than RSB's alone.

I already installed an FSTB and handling has dramatically improved, none of that "boat handling" feeling anymore but the sway is still there.

I think most people have spent 45 minutes to an hour.

Definitely go with springs over the RSB. The FSTB and RSB alone add more stability and better handling, but the springs lower the center of gravity of the car which allows for better handle and less recoil bounciness associated with the stock springs.

RSB. I'm not convinced an FSTB makes as much a difference as an RSB, especially on a non-SE Maxima. Just looking at the engine bay, I can imagine all kinds of ways for the front end to distribute loads.

I have a Stillen RSB, but I have no basis to evaluate a Stillen over other brands. I will say I'm very happy with the Stillen. Stillen suggested a major difference was that their's was solid versus other brands being hollow.

I will probably try a FSTB at some point. But on my GLE, the first pick was a RSB.

With a good setup of springs and shocks a RSB and FSTB are hardly(if at all) noticable. With a nice supension setup the car has hardly any lean or sway to it, so these bars hardly make difference. I took my FSTB off a few day's ago to paint it and to be honest I can not tell any difference.

With a stock supension the RSB is far more noticable then a FSTB. The 5th gen seems pretty solid though and does not seem to even have much of a sway problem to it. On my 95 max the RSB made a huge difference but on my 2002 it was not nearly as noticable.

If you're going to get springs, get heavy-duty struts, too. You might as well have them both installed at the same time. If you don't, you will probably regret it, as the lowering springs will wear out the stock struts in short order. When I replaced my stock springs and struts for aftermarket stuff, I noticed a huge difference. (Don't forget to have an alignment done, too.)

If you're going to get a FSTB and/or a RSB, get both. My Stillen FSTB provided a noticeable difference in handling. My Stillen RSB provided a HUGE difference in handling. Together, they contribute to tie the car to the road. The Stillen products are somewhat pricey, but they look great, work great, and install well. Good luck.
