Lightning and a T-Bird

So me and my two friends are cruising around and see a new Black T-Bird. I have to admit it looks nice. Anyways, I pull up next to him at a light, and its this older guy singing along with the radio (windows up, didn't hear anything) So as I joke, I keep revving on him, but oh well he won't do anything. So when light turns green, I wasn't ready, and he takes off. It sucked though cause then I cought up to him only going like 45, he backed off the gas. Oh well

Later, I see this nice grey 01(?) Lightning, looks lowered, not sure. So it's this long stretch of road, and of course I know I have no chance, but its fun to mess with him. He had tints, so couldn't see driver. I pull next to him about 60, wait 3 seconds, and floor it. Well, he did the same, and he was long gone. Each second his lead practically doubled. Wanted to give him thumbs up (yeah, even though my car never had a chance) but he drove off. Oh well

Those new Harley Davidson lightnings are silly quick. I once tried to jump in front of one and got raped on the way. At the same time, he flipped the bird on me.

not that it matters but, the Harley Davidsons arent Lightnings are they? they're just Harley Davidson F150s and the Lightnings are another kind of F150....they're still fast though.

275 HP? a 2k2 Maxima with that extra $10,000 ($35k for mustang - $25K for Maxima)put into mods could destroy that. any maxima with $10,000 of performance mods for that matter. maybe you mean 375 HP? sorry about my posts....im not too sure of myself.

I heard the new SVT Cobra is getting the same DOHC 4.6 V8 as 01, but getting a supercharger, going to put out 390 HP, Thats f*ckin sick. As for the T-Bird, what are the 0-60, 1/4 times, and HP/Torqe? It only comes in an auto? Thanks.

Not too mention that the SVT has matching 390lb-ft torque; makes for one HELL of a launch!!

As for the new T-Bird, the published numbers (softtop) are:
0-60: 6.9 sec
1/4 mile: 15.2sec @ 94mph
Topend: 138mph (ECU governed)

and only comes with an 5sp auto tranny mated to a 4.0L (3950cc) V8 w/252hp and 267lb-ft torque. (C/D 7/01)

I raced one once from a dead stop and kept up with him till around 40-45 mph at which point he started pulling away on me. I wasn't too far behind though but he definitly had me by 80 mph. We also raced from 50 mph and I was able to keep up a little better but he still took me down. When we got to the stop sign the guy asked me what the hell I had under the hood and I told him. We gave each other both the thumbs up and went on our ways.

The t-birds look gay and are slow, any 5spd max could hand it it's @ss in a doggy bag.

As for the SVT lightnings, I am the expert on these

My friend has a 2001 Black Lightning. It feels like a plane taking off, it is amazing. I drove it, and was shaking afterwards because I totally didn't expect that kind of power!

Everywhere we go, at stoplights, people always look at him and ask him questions and give him compliments about it. They ignore my maxima as if it were chopped liver.
