My H4 city light install didn't fare to well... It messed up the headlamp beam pattern quite a bit. I tried re-aiming but to no avail. Apparently I bent the shield thingamajig in the headlamps down to make the citylight fit and the H4 bulb to fit flush in the housing. Ended up removing the city lights. Bent that shield thing back and reaimed the headlights.
My local shop sells SOEI H4 citylight kit. areX what brand did you get?

the only US spec cars i've seen them with "real" ones are the IS300s. they use it as daytime driving lights, tho. next time you see an IS, look into the high beam lamp casing and you'll see a little bulb in the top inside corner. it's pretty cool.
Definition to City Lights: Used in Europe and HK, they're lights inside the headlamp housing that you use while driving through the brightly-lit cities. it's mostly for pedestrians, i suspect, so they don't get blinded by cars driving down the streets. (if you think about it, esp in the streets of HK, b/c it's so bright anyways, you don't need bright headlights at night. Others have said that city lights are in essence parking lights for E-spec cars.
Why do we need city lights in the US? who's talking about need? they just look awesome! my suggestion is not to get the odd colors (e.g., red, green, blue) b/c chances are (like windshield nozzle lights) you'll get hit pretty fast by the popo's.
oh yeah, and i got them online at CReVerthing.com. their customer service sux, tho. i suggest you get them through OptAuto or somewhere else who has more inventory and actually reply to emails.
does that answer some questions?

I just don't get the need to put MORE lights on the car. The headlamps do a perfect job of illuminating the road. The taillamps do a perfect job of letting the people behind you know you're there or going to brake.
The signals do just fine by letting people know your intentions to turn or change lanes. WHY ADD MORE LIGHTS?!

haha.. you actually thought i was gonna start a flaming war? haha.. i don't know about you, but i'm not a flamer....
anyhow, what i'm saying is that if you talk to just about every ORG member, there's nothing wrong with cosmetics. sure it's not gonna add any HP or make you corner better, but you'll still get noticed. Why get audio mods when it actually slows you down? people like what they like.
