Question about Stillen FSTB on 2002 SE.

I heard some people were saying that installting a Stillen FSTB from 2000 Maxima will not fit on 2002 Maxima.
This weekend I tried installing it on my 2002 SE and it fit on perfectly.
What were the reasons why it didn't fit for some reason for other people on 2002 Maxima??
I just want to see that I didn't over look anything.

Thanks.

All I know is that I asked Stillen about a FSTB for an '02 and they said theirs was still "under development." The implication was they didn't think they had a FSTB that worked for the 02's yet.

That's very strange, because I installed Stillen FSTB from my 2000 Maxima on my new 2002 Maxima and it installed perfectly.
Looking at the engine bay on 2002 Maxima, everything looks the same there as it was on 2000 Maxima, and FSTB cleared everything perfectly.
hmm, I am gona check tomorrow and see if everything still looks good there.

Checked the FSTB today.

Everything seemed to look fine there. I still don't undersand why Stillen says that FSTB from 2000 Maxima will not fit 2002 Maxima.
It installed perfect for me. Only thing I noticed that it touches a little the hood under lining, which is made of some kind of paper or something like that material. I think this is ok though, it used to do the same thing on my 2000 Maxima.

Can you post some photo's of it? Also, you sure it doesn't hit your intake manifold?

The one i have clears the manifold by roughly a couple of cm and i've already tested to see if the manifold would hit it when the engine sways forward and backward (when accelerating forward and doing a reverse run) - it doesn't. Additionally, as far as i can tell it doesn't hit the hoodliner either.

Yeah, I was worrying about it also.

I checked it today and everything seems fine there. There is enough space to clear intake manifold. I went on the long drive this weekend and didn't hear any noises of anything touching under the hood. So I guess FSTB fits fine.
Only thing I noticed that it is touching the hoodliner just a little.

Sorry but I don't have digital cam, so can't really post pics of it.

I am gona keep an eye on FSTB for couple more days just to make sure everything is ok there.

Yeah, mine cleared intake manifold, it is pretty close to it, but I don't think it hits the intake manifold.
I checked FSTB now after driving with it for 4 days now and everything seems fine there. Only think I saw was that it is touching the hoodliner a little bit. I think it did the same on my 2000 Maxima.

So, it looks like Stillen FSTB from my 2000 Maxima, fits fine on my new 2002 Maxima.
