if it was nonturbo i wouldnt doubt that a maxima could take it. i wish i would have seen it, then i could convince friends that some maximas do deserve respect.

I raced a 95-96 Eclipse GS-T a couple nights ago. We raced from a light to about 80, I heard his turbo spool but I stayed about a car length ahead of him. A stock turbo Eclipse is not that fast, we can take them all day long.

I used to own a GSX

(AWD turbo) The car was "very fast" but it's relative... I went from a Honda CR-V to GSX and now have a Ford F-150 so the GSX felt like a rocket!

I have no doubt a stock 2k2 would destroy an stock eclipse of any flavor.

2k-2k1 would have a good race against a GS-T. The 1999 GS-T is 6.5sec 0-60 at 210hp so it should be close.

That GSX is easily the best, most fun car I've ever owned and that includes a prelude, bonneville ssei, and a chevy cadaver Z24.

It was the most fun, up until I get my 2k2 SE 6speed in 4 weeks!!!
