Hello.Could you please tell me what percentage the factory tint is on my 2002 Maxima.I want to tint them darker but not illegal dark.Thanks for any help and your site is excellent and very helpful.

Yea I see that. 15470+ times and no1 responds. How sad. Well anyways You cant really call it tint its hardly there. Go with 35% tint. You can stil see through the car so most cops wont harass you.

 

Most tints use a cumulative number that already accounts for the light filtering qualities of stock glass.

The stock tint looks so light, has to be something like 70% (this is the darkest that is legal in all states)

 

Ok, you see the same number of views, so I'm not crazy. I'm thinking that it's an error because he posted this thread this morning.

Norm02SE: I have 35% on my car, which is the limit in MA. The tint shop I used told me up front they wouldn't intall anything darker than legal. In combination with the stock tint, it may be slightly darker than legal (30-34%). 35% is medium dark in direct sunlight, you can definitely still see inside the car, but when it's overcast or after sunset, the inside of the car looks much darker from the outside.
