u know, other than the VIAS it could be a bad knok sensor (or other sensor) that is for some reason thos throwing a code, get it read by ODB2. i abd knok sensor will remap your ecu and cause it to run in safe mode = about 30 hp loss. this happened to my friends 98 but he got a code for it. just my 2 cents.
