No answers because not many 5th gens have changed out their clutch. I think about 3-4 people have changed it out. I went with the ACT and it has worked great for me, grabs every time. I go to the track about once a month and it has been wonderful.

If you need a stock Nissan clutch let me know I have a new one that I need to get rid of?

Haven't heard anything about the jim wolf clutch, but you can get the ACT from Gotrice at http://www.eatricezone.com/ he is on the org and gives us great deals. Check on the 4th gen board about the reviews on ACT they seem to like the clutch as well.

Centerforce Dual Friction...

I love mine...
Some people on here bash them...
I suppose thats due to improper break-in...
Anyway...
They hold 90% more power than stock...
Still feel like stock...
Worked great when i had my SuperCharger and 3.25" pulley...
Never Slipped...

Oh yea, it's only $222.95 thru Cali Hi Performance...
About half the price of *any* other clutch out there...

Just to throw something else out there.....have you looked into the Vitek clutch? Custommaxima.com has them for the maxima and they offer 6 stages.

http://www.custommaxima.com/Vitek.html

I don't have them but this at least provides another option to think about.

Re: Re: Clutch Upgrade Opinions Please...

I supply Custommaxima with their Vitek clutches so I guess I'll weigh in here. The clutches are new, not remanufactured like most other aftermarket clutch companies out there. This leads to less reliability and quality control problems. For most Maximas, nothing more than a Stage 1 is really needed since most don't have forced induction. But I have sold quite a few Stage 4 clutches to some nitroused and supercharged maxima owners, they're not on the forum though. The clutches have been around for quite some time, but we are trying to get the name out more.

And if anyone cares, Cattman performance will be carrying the Vitek clutches soon also.
