I picked up some Cool Blues and installed them today....not bad for just over 20 bucks....really does make a difference over stock...nice bright white light.

Well I went to clean my plastic lenses and noticed that there is a whole bunch of scratches in them! I tried cleaning with the Armor All Glass Cleaner...well it cleamed them but the lenses have a dull "Fog"....hell it might have always been there but maybe the brighter lights just magnify it now....

If you look at the headlights you can see the fog, when you clean them it dissapers for a sec then comes back....

Any advice on what to do?

Have you noticed that the lenses on your Max is scratched or have this fog look? Any product you guys use other than Windex etc? Didnt see any where in the manual that says dont...plastc polishes maybe get rid of scratches?

To get the fog off the lights you need 3 things..
Glass cleaner
Terry cloth Towel
Muscles

Just soak the light in the stuff and scrub with the towel like a ****. I mean really press hard on the light and rub hard
Thats the only way i could get that crap off and now my lights are oh so pretty

I know what you mean. My headlamps have this foggy haze coated on them. I can't seem to clean it off. I wonder if it's on the inside. I've tried cleaning them. If anyone has and better suggestions please let me know.

NO! you will scratch it more! get a good "Plexiglass & Plastic Polish" (like for motorcycle helmet faceshields) and follow the instructions. Those lenses aren't glass, don't use glass cleaner on them and don't scrub them. They're plastic that's why they don't break from rocks, but they are more difficult to maintain b/c they're softer than glass. Wax may work, but a true plastic polish is best.

I havent tried really scrubbing with

car polish because they are plastic.... but I did try a plastic polish (using a plastic cleaner first) and it didnt touch that haze. whatever it is, it sucks..

Well I see I'm not the only one....I wonder if it is some crap that gets on them during transport....my windshield also has a haze on it that only shows up when using the wipers(perfect eh?)

I'm going to try some of that Zaino Z12 to see if that will remove it.....tried some RainX glass polish and that put nice little scratches in it Hopefully the Z12 will remove them. (Windshield that is, not lenses)

This probably will remove the scratches.

http://www.plasticplus.com/ppweb(2)/novus.htm

As the for the haze, I think it's inside the housing and I have this problem also. Any suggestions on how to clean the inside of the housing?

I'll have to try

some of that plastic scratch remover. I don't remember reading anywhere in the manual that you needed to use some special type of cleaner or method....don't you think they would have pointed that out pretty clearly like...DON'T USE GLASS CLEANER as it may scratch your lenses?

I can't see having to do some special cleaning job just to clean the headlights...hell here in MA during the winter you need to clean 'em every day due to the salt and crap on the road.

I tried a little Zymol and it didnt seem to work...the noticed it was cleaner wax....smooth move exlax...damn it...everything I try to fix on this car blows up in my face I don't dare try to put a FSTB in myself...friggin shocks would probably blow through the hood

Adam- May give your method a try..hell they are scractched already
