I'm looking into possible buying a '02. Dealer has all the Maximas at $28K and higher for SE. Who is the fastest '02 and 5Th Gen....?

He didn't ask the lowest price he could expect to pay, he asked what everyone else had paid. I paid $500 over invoice. It sounds like you purchased right at invoice (did you get floormats, sunroof wind deflector, and the front/back painted mud guards?), which would have been an amazing deal in my neck of the woods at the time I put in the order. I think prices have come down a bit in the past couple of months, but I was willing to pay a little more than I might have in order to get the car earlier.

I read what he asked... that's what I'm paying (yes, I got all options you listed). I'm not taking delivery until March, though, so I don't know what the rebate situation will be.

If the rebate extends through March, I'll pay $26,500 (I just checked, $26,597 to be exact). If the rebate doesn't extend, $27,597.

I ordered mine in early January.

$29,106 before rebate for 6 speed with everything except navigation. i paid so much more than all of you and the sad part is, that price of $29,106 is the best price i could get by almost $1500 after going to three different dealers. i ended up buying the car from the dealer here at school because the two dealers at home wouldnt go below $30,500. thats northern virginia for you....

As for the fastest, I dont know who the fastest 6spd is, but I think Daniel (2K2THEMAX) is the fastest Automagic, with a 14.3.
