Question about the Greddy EVO Catback??

Does the Greddy catback bolt up to the flang directly to the cat or to the weird looking 6-8" piece of pipe that has the O2 sensor in it right after the cat? Thanks guys. My shop and I guessed it would probably be bolting up to the weird piece just after the O2 sensor.

I just installed a Greddy cat-back system in my 02 a few day's ago. The exhaust connected directly to the cat. My car does not have any 02 sensors on or behind the cat, I also don't have the little piece of piping your were talking about. BTW, The greddy system does not have a hole in it for a 02 sensor so you will have to do some custom work on it.

It bolts up to the cat like said before, and I had the o2 after the car, so I had to take that piece to a muffler shop and have a custom o2 bung made.

I know that piece it has the O2 sensor in it you have to take it off for the Greddy to fit you just need to have a O2 sensor bung welded on. No biggie I had it done to. I also help install it sorry no pics.

Because Greddy is located in CA, that's why they only designed for Cali emission maximas. I dont' get that tho, the rest of country has Fed Emission, they should have designed it for Fed Emission instead of Cali emission

probably they sell more systems in Cali????

I think it's the other way around, Fed spec has a sensor behind the cat and cali spec does not. BTW the large majority of 5th gens are actually cali spec, all 2K1 and 2K2's are.

How does the Greddy EVO sound with a y-pipe? Is it too loud for yall or do you feel that it has a nice deep throaty note?

The two are truely designed for each other! The intake's growl is almost the exact same tone as the greddy's. So now I have a real nice deap groul comming from under my hood and in from my tail pipe. This sounds so much better then my 95 did with a stillen intake and muffler. The best thing about this setup is that there is very little drown.

I will be doing some dyno testing some time next week(just waiting on yet another intake setup ).

There's two links on the page....scroll down some. One with the CAI, and Stillen muffler, among other things. The second link is with the Stillen SC, Stillen y pipe, RT Cat, GReddy cat-back.

I know but the SC would give it a different tone.
