FSTB Question

Guys,
Just a curious question. What torque did you set when you installed the stillen FSTB? Somehow, I doing a search I seem to see different torques. Also, for some torques, I understand that there will be squeaking.

I believe the torque should be in the 30s. For the 4th gen the torque was 32-35. Should be similar. You would be fine anbywhere from 32-38. Squeaking? Dont know about that.

if its a fifth generation, and a stillen, i torqued the strut tower rings between 45 i think, and the tower brace was at 20

Further install question

If I may piggyback on this thread...
Has anyone used any sort of thin neoprene or similar thin gasket material between the plates and the tower during a brace install? Or is a bare, metal-to-metal install the way to go?

Jim

Direct, metal-to-metal and I concur on the 35 ft/lbs. bolt settings.

Added stress on the bolts. As far as what it might do to bar performance, not much I guess...
