On the 2000 TSB list there are TSB's that are dated back to 1987.

not all TSBs are to fix problems. They are also used to standardize shop practices and get information out.

For example the 1987 one

87-064 APR 87 Plastic Lens - Isopropyl Alcohol Caution

I bet says don't use alcohol to clean plastic lenses. This will be on all cars that have plastic lens. It doesn't mean there is a problem with your lens.
