If its a non turbo any Maxima from year 95 on up auto or 5spd shouldnt have a problem. Those cars were heavy and slow, my Cousin had a 89 and when I drove it I was very dissapointed!

Boys Be careful.. If its a Turbo, Unless your Maxima is Supercharged, you'll Loose hands down. Trust me. I have a 87 Turbo ... and I Just sold a 87 N/A about a month ago... I have a 2K 5spd SE with All the Boltons Munus S/C and Driveing both cars.. Trust me. The Max Just can't hang with the Supra Turbo..

I drove my friends Supra (non-turbo) and it was a disappointment. I thought it would have more kick (that's why i say Skyline all the way!). Have fun.

 

Key Word. "NON TURBO" .. Drive a Turbo, tell me what you think then. N/A is a Big Heavy Cow.

If its a Turbo makeing a bunch of noise then something's wrong with his turbo. Usually The turbo Spool would make the Exhaust quieter not louder. Maybe there is no Muffler. You can get away without a Muffler on a Turbo Supra..It wouldn't be too loud.. Not on N/A though..

 

Oh yeah, i know the keyword is NON-TURBO. But I still had high hopes for the Supra (NON-TURBO).

 

How meny cars do you know 15 Years ago that came with 200Hp Stock?? hell If your car did 8seconds 0-60 back then You had something. I remember when a car broke into the 6second 0-60 it was talked about everywhere. Now a days, Blaah, we are talking low 5z or mid 4z if you want to be a BadA$$..

My Point, That car was well built for its time.. and the Turbo Even today will turn some heads when you see them in 11/12 second 1/4 miles. Just make sure you have replaced that Head Gasket Before you start boosting above 14Psi..

 

oh yeah i don't think the Supra sux. far from that. I'm just like many other people who are just too used to seeing 200Hp in a lot of cars today. My friend showed me an italian car (80's) and it had 2 turbos stocked! ~whew~ Too bad we can't get 2 turbos in our Max.

 

wont be racing again. waitin until next weekend (front brakes being done, fuel injector flush and 60,000 mile service) sorry guys!
