So anyone? If so could you tell me where you got it or how you made it?

I want to get a momo E-Brkae handel and it won't work with out a boot.

I think that I may be able to make a 4th gen black vinyle boot to fit on my max. Any thoughts on this would be cool. If we could get this to work our interiors would look much more luxuries and sporty! Top it off with a nice 3-D dash kit

ebrake boot

I actually spoke with a rep from leatherseats.com today and was told that they will be developing vinyl and leather ebrake boots for the 5th generation maximas next week. "Those cars are too nice for a plastic ebrake base", were his words. He said they would be similar to the 4th gen boot, and that the reason it was taking longer is because there is no stock boot in the 5th gen to use as a pattern. I was told $39 for vinyl and $49 for leather and that graphite or dark graphite would match my stock leather closely. I hope I am placing my order in about a week. Hope this helps.

I'd like to get one myself. Here's a question, and maybe it should be posted. I have an 01' and what I like about the 02' cosmeticly is the boots on the turn signals and headlight stalks. Can we put those on 00's and 01's? If so, where can we get them?

I would say the only place would be from Nissan...

pretty small, low value pieces the aftermarket probably won't get into.

Already tried, but let's try again...

I tried to get someone in the OKC area to be a test vehicle for the E-brake boot and Eric at LS.com said he was trying to find a 5th gen. on his own. It sounds like he found one.

They also need to get someone to donate their stock 2K-2K1 and I'm sure 2K2 shift boots to be used for a pattern. They keep the boots, but offered to discount $10 to the donor for shipping it to them.

Check here for the thread and LS.com address:

I'm goona give Eric a call on Monday or maybe tomarrow if there open. I want to know if the boot is going to be designed to fit with the stock E-Brake handel. If it does fit the oem handle it means we would be stuck with the HUGE E-Brake handel and the boot would be minuture. I really hope they design the boot to work with a small aftermarket handle (MOMO ) . I will call and let you guy's know what he say's.

IceY2K1, I remember that thread and I said I was in but nothing ever happened Thanks for trying though!

Same thing is going to happen here if NOBODY sends in their shift boot or drives to OKC for a test fit. The thread will disappear until someone else comes up with the same idea that could have been done already. Lots of people would be interested, but nobody is willing to sacrafice their stock shift boot.

Anyone local to OKC? Anyone willing to trade their stock shiftboot and ~$50 for a custom boot in ANY one of 50 colors of genuine leather?

The shift boot on my 02 is real nice, if I had a older model max I would send mine in for sure. Hey, why don't you send your's in?

Same reason as you, no need too. I have/like the 2K2 leather one. Until I get custom leather like you and need it to match then I'll go custom.

Plus, I don't get rid of my stock parts, since I plan on selling the car eventually. I was ready to send in my stock boot to Eric as soon as he responded until I found out they have to cut it apart for the pattern and I can't get it back.

e-brake boot

Unfortunatly I haven't heard back from the guy I spoke with. I gave him my phone number and he said he would call when they were ready - I'll give them a call back this week and post their reply. Sorry I don't have better news - I want to get that ugly plastic e-brake handle covered up as soon as possible.

Well I spoke with a rep at leatherseats.com again this week and was told that the project for a fifth genration e-brake boot is still on the table but that they are still waiting for an owner to volunteer their car to use as a pattern. The guy told me that a .org memebr had offered earlier and that they are just waiting on that person. I hope this happens soon

I have the Momo parking brake handle and Momo boot. The boot did not fit in my 4th gen due to the strange location of the parking brake. The bottom opening of the boot is not wide enough. Perhaps the 5th gens are different...
